Welcome BBQ
This year’s annual welcome barbeque was just as warmly welcomed by the students and staff of Grafton as it has always been with plenty of sausages and hash browns to go around. What a way to make a first impression to newcomers by YACMA!

Lockdown: Iso with YACMA
Even when lockdown threw a spanner in the works this year, YACMA always finds a way to keep the fun going! The first event that YACMA could take part in from the safety of their own homes was a Skribbl.io tournament that saw some stiff competition. This was followed by a Kahoot! Night event, testing the general knowledge and quizzing ability of our YACMA members.

YACMA Yumcha
Finally with some sense of normalcy reestablished in our lives, we immediately set about catching up on the events that helped make YACMA as popular as it has always been. With fun, games, and plenty of delicious food to go around, the turnout to our annual yumcha this year was as sizeable as any other year.

YACMA CSE Office Hours
YACMA holds an annual Communication Skills Workshop for our second-year students – this is normally an in-person event where they can practice history-taking skills with volunteers from the years above and get feedback. Unfortunately, we entered another COVID-19 lockdown in August this year just around the time where we usually hold our Communication Skills Workshop. There was little we could do but we still wanted to provide educational and helpful content to our second years – thus after some creative brainstorming we decided to go ahead with a ‘CSE Office Hours’.

YACMA AGM
As is essential every year, the year was rounded up at an AGM (or Annual General Meeting). And being held at Paradise BBQ Garden Restaurant as is tradition, it was needless to say that everyone was well-fed in time for the main event - electing the new executive team for 2021! Once again, congratulations to those that were successfully elected and we wish you well as you take YACMA to new heights next year!
